Spend time with your child to learn more about what feelings and emotions are, how we can manage our feelings, and the choices that we can make about them.
In this workshop, you will:
• Learn about the foundations of children's emotional development
• Learn how parents can help to support emotional management
• Explore recommended NLB books that can support your conversations about emotions with your child
• Create a Feelings & Emotions chart together with your child that you can bring home
About the Trainers:
Wei Wei has more than 16 years of experience helping individuals and families manage various behavioral, emotional and psychological issues. She is currently a Senior Counsellor for Montfort Care providing coaching and training for a host of evidence-based parenting programmes and workshops. She was previously engaged as a consultant by an Employee Assistance Program provider to provide counselling, coaching, talks and training for corporate clients in regards to personal and work related issues. Wei Wei is also a mother of a 12 year old, and she believes that having strong and safe bond with children is the most important element in parenting.
Samuel has been working with families and children over the past 16 years as a special school teacher, a family counsellor and a parenting coach. He currently provides coaching and training for a host of evidence-based parenting programmes and workshops; that are organized in collaboration with MSF and schools. Samuel is also a father to two teenagers, 16 and 17, and empathizes with the common concerns that many parents face. He is also a fitness advocate and believes that mental health and physical health are two sides of the same coin.
This programme is part of the pre-Fiesta publicity for Early READ Fiesta 2026/2027, and is suitable for children aged 3 to 6. Each child should have an accompanying parent to attend.
