Is this your event?About the event
Rapper and performer Elmer (Merel Pauw) will read from his favourite stories during the Boekenborrel at De Kleine Komedie Amsterdam. Discover which writers inspire him and enjoy a drink afterwards. Elmer (Merel Pauw) on his literary inspiration
Elmer, the stage project of Merel Pauw, is known as a shameless and controversial act in the Dutch music scene. But behind the rapid words and stage violence lies a reader. During the Boekenborrel at De Kleine Komedie, Elmer shows which writers and stories shape him. You get a look behind the scenes of an artist who connects literature and performance.
Reading from favourite books
The Boekenborrel has a fixed format: an artist or writer reads from their own favourites. Not a boring book review, but a personal story about sources of inspiration. Elmer takes you from his bookcase to the stage. Previously, Jan Beuving, Martin Rombouts and Malou Holshuijsen preceded you in the reading armchair.
A drink after the book
After the reading, there is room to chat while enjoying a drink. The first drink is included. The Boekenborrel combines literature with an informal atmosphere, so you can end the afternoon in a relaxed way. Are you interested? Via the link on this page you will find more information about tickets.
