
Café and barista skills 8-week course for ages 16-25
About the event
Build your skills to work in a café in this free hands-on course for young people ages 16 to 25. In a dedicated space you’ll learn: Basic barista skills to brew coffee shots and steam milk using a commercial style machine Café skills including accredited food safety training Employability skills including resume and cover letter writing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and LGBTIQ+ young people are encouraged to apply. To be eligible to participate you must: be no longer in secondary education be able to attend the full 8 weeks live or work in NSW be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or eligible Humanitarian Visa holder and have a valid USI (Unique Student Identifier) which you can create at www.usi.gov.au The course runs for 8 weeks every Thursday from 22 October to 10 December, from 9am to 2.30pm.
