Older & Reckless 2026

Older & Reckless, Moonhorse Dance Theatre’s acclaimed series returns… a little different this time. Two weekends of performances taking place at The Citadel: Ross Centre for Dance.

This year's production features three dance works created and performed by luminary dance artists. The works, curated by Artistic Director Allison Cummings, seek to redefine destructive assumptions about age and dance ability; and celebrate artists over 45 who continuously take risks, ask pertinent questions and dig deep into nuance.

The program includes solos by acclaimed dance artists Norma Araiza, and Viv Moore, and Moonhorse Dance Theatre’s interdisciplinary exchange residency, Crossing the Streams, returns with a new collaboration by creative forces Yuichiro Inoue (dancer) and Sean Dixon (writer). The program also features a new dance created by Bill Coleman for this year’s Older & Reckless Community Performance Project, featuring 26 mature dance enthusiasts. CPP is generously sponsored by Tamara Bernstein, through the Zita and Mark Bernstein Family Foundation.
