Workshop: Vision in the Mobile Photography Era

Marking World Photography Day (19 August), photographer Ricardo Rojas leads a workshop exploring the evolution of mobile photography in Brazil and its value as a professional tool for photographers and filmmakers. The session covers creative processes, aesthetic and editing choices, printing, and the use of mobile photography in building visual narratives. Discussion also addresses technological advances in photography and their role as instruments for artistic creation and expression. Beyond presenting images, the workshop invites participants to consider how technological innovation expands creative possibilities without replacing photography's most essential element: human vision. Ricardo Rojas is a photographer and cultural producer whose career began in advertising photography and developed through auteur work. His exhibitions include "Piercing" (1998), "Essência Feminina" (2003), and "Família Real, Olhar Virtual" (2007), shown at the Pinacoteca de São Paulo. A pioneer of mobgraphy in Brazil, he founded Mographia Cultura Visual, an initiative dedicated to promoting photography created with mobile devices.
