Why Are Humans Drawn to Nature?
Many people feel refreshed after spending time in nature. Whether it's walking through a forest, watching the ocean, or climbing a mountain, the natural world seems to have a unique effect on us.
Why do humans feel such a deep connection to nature?
• What is it about nature that brings us peace or joy?
• Why do people across different cultures value the natural world?
• What can our relationship with nature teach us about ourselves?
This week at IQ Cafe, we'll explore these questions together. After a short introduction, we'll break into small groups for open discussion.
Come share your thoughts, hear different perspectives, and enjoy meaningful conversation in a relaxed and respectful environment.
Everyone is welcome!
🕒 Schedule:
8:00-8:20 - Listen to a bilingual lecture on the night's topic while enjoying snacks and coffee
8:20-9:00 - Discussion in small groups
Afterwards - Stick around and hang out with new friends\!

What is IQ Cafe?
IQ Cafe is a place that wants to create a space for you to think deeply.
We think it's a shame how many people go through life without reflecting on things that matter. It’s important to take the time to think about the difficult questions in life. It can be easy to live your life and just go through the motions.
The presentations at IQ Cafe are always bilingual because we want you to be able to practice Japanese and English! For the discussion time, there are tables with English and Japanese available. Let's practice language together!

• 自然との関わりを通して、私たちは自分自身について何を学べるでしょうか。

8:00～8:20 ：テーマに関する日英バイリンガルのミニ講演を、お菓子やコーヒーを楽しみながら聞きます
8:20～9:00 ：少人数グループでディスカッション
