Amy once said: "Every bad situation is a blues song waiting to happen” and she had plenty of those...Infused with deep expressive vocals, storytelling and emotional depth yet witty lyrics, her addictive music merged elements of soul, reggae, rhythm n blues, rock n roll, hiphop and of course jazz - creating a distinctive contemporary sound that could easily fit into the 30s musical Jazz era yet still sound different from all the autotuned mainstream which she despised nearly as much as the Spice Girls themselves.

Many with their Fuck Me Pumps tried to imitate her but failed (though I have to admit I do like a bit of Duffy!). And on that distinct voice George Michael said: "Amy was, in my opinion, the most soulful vocalist this country has ever seen."

In her own words paraphrased "Camden Town ain’t gonna be burning down baby" during this musical escapade through the heart of Camden. Without giving way too much away - it will be led by a life long music fan entwined with the local Camden music scene since a teenager.

We'll visit iconic spots central to both her life and the long music history of Camden itself including venues where she performed, her homes, Camden market and the section that got burned down in the fire, and lastly mutiple areas showcasing artwork in her honour.

But it would be no real tour without visiting and avin a drink in the musical rock n roll pubs where she gigged, worked behind the bar, hung out and drank her unquie signiture cocktail. From what I remember (we were all heavily toxicated by 4AM [what is it about men eh?] but we never went Rehab) those were crazy times and round midnight I'll share some stories.

We'll rock out to some Amy tunes later - weed free - in one of her favourate "Irish" boozers where she also did one of her first ever gigs - maybe I'll play a song for you It is said that the most talented and unique people in the world are some of the most flawed - that was certainly true in her case but it wasn't always that way,

Like many of us working class North Londoners, she had a very ordinary humble "street" upbringing infused with best friends and music but there was more; undiluted creativity, intense emotional depth and a rare unpretentious humble non-materialistic brassy personality to boot.

But as a former British Prime Minister famously said "events, dear girl, events" conspired ultimately to lead to her young death that befell great iconic artists before her like Monroe, Elvis, Prince and Whitney. She was only 27 but in a superficial fickle world that like many deep people she was not meant for, it was almost inevitable..

As Roxy Music's Bryan Ferry sung "Love is a Drug". Indeed; we'll visit the house where that most dangerous aphrodisiac potion in the world took it's final and most potent toll ending with the sound of her last ever musical heart beat...
