Human-Centric Product Development: How to Make Real Users Part of Your Product Process by Kristin Great products don't fail in production. They fail in the silence between discovery and delivery in the moment the user's voice gets drowned out by deadlines, assumptions, and competing priorities.
We will unpack two principles that hold up across every context: that genuine user insight (from shadowings to usability tests to structured workshops) is the sharpest tool a Product Owner has. And that carrying that insight all the way through to delivery, without letting it erode under pressure, is the skill most teams are still figuring out.
We will also look at how AI can help POs. The craft is knowing when to hand things off to a model and when only a real conversation with a real person will do.
This is not a talk about theory. It's about what actually works when you're the bridge between your users, your stakeholders, and your development team.
After Kristin's interactive session you will:
• Receive a practical toolkit for user involvement: shadowing, usability testing, and requirements workshops • Know how to translate raw user insight into prioritized, defensible backlog decisions • Learn concrete ways to leverage AI in your discovery and delivery workflow - from synthesizing research to sharpening user stories • Explore techniques for keeping user needs alive under delivery pressure - across teams, sprints, and stakeholders
Like last time, the session will be hands-on and interactive. This time we will try out "only" one session that engages you all. There will be space to discuss, challenge, and exchange with fellow colleagues.
We’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming new ones to the community.
Connect... get to learn peers from different industries. Learn... how other Product Leaders deal with different situations. Profit... from shared experiences and thrive even more in your role.
Please be fair and only click “attend” on Meetup if you’re truly planning to join, so we can plan foods and drinks accordingly. This time spots will be limited to 40. Last time we had a show-rate of 92%, let's keep this up 😃
Best regards, Alex & Miriam
