RopeSketch · Life Drawing Session with ropes
About the event
19 of September, Madrid RopeSketch is a live drawing session for artists, art students, and their friends, created around an unconventional approach to life drawing.
We work with a live model and explore unusual poses, movement, body structure, form and volume. The rope and shibari elements add an extra layer of complexity, giving artists an opportunity to practise observing and capturing poses that are different from those usually encountered in traditional life-drawing sessions.
It’s a practical exercise in observation, proportion, form and volume, as well as a chance to experiment with new ways of approaching the human figure.
Bring your favourite drawing materials, a sketchbook, something to sit on, and some water. No previous experience is required, and you’re also welcome to join simply as a viewer.
Participation: €15, paid on site.
