At the heart of serving others can often be an inner spiritual yearning to discover more about ourselves. Through the relationship we have with others and that others have to us, lies a path to discover our life’s meaning and purpose.
Join James Luckel as he returns to the Theosophical Society for a collaborative open dialogue about the nature of service, self-realization and how the work we do helps us understand who we are as spiritual beings in this human world and what we are ultimately serving.

Blessed with a passion for working in Service, James Luckel has spent 29 years in the hospitality, health and personal development industries, honing his love of service and developing a personal spiritual understanding of it. From pubs to clubs, cafe’s, bars and restaurants to general hospitals, operating theatres and co-facilitation of seminars across the country, James’ wealth of lived experience serving people, aiding recovery, enticing and encouraging people’s spiritual curiosity and personal growth has taken him up and down the east coast of Australia via a mixture of paid work and volunteering as well as more recently to Mexico in service to the medicine of ancient ritual and ceremony.
