🚉 NYC Meet-up & Metro-North Trip

We’ll meet in front of McDonald’s at 18 E 42nd Street, directly across from Grand Central Terminal. 🕥 Meet-up: 10:30 AM ⏳ We will wait until: 10:45 AM ⚠️ Please arrive on time. At 10:45 AM, we’ll head into Grand Central together so everyone has enough time to get to the train.

🚆 Metro-North Itinerary

We’ll take the Metro-North Harlem Line toward Southeast. 🚆 Train: #9623 toward Southeast 📍 Depart: Grand Central Terminal 🕚 Departure: 11:14 AM 🚉 Destination: Croton Falls 🕧 Arrival: 12:37 PM ⏱️ Train ride: Approximately 1 hour 23 minutes 🚉 14 stops 🎫 The MTA currently lists the one-way off-peak adult fare at $16.00 for this trip. 👉 Everyone is responsible for purchasing their own Metro-North ticket. Please purchase your ticket before boarding whenever possible.

🚕 Croton Falls → Harvest Moon

Once we arrive at Croton Falls Station at 12:37 PM, we’ll divide into groups of approximately 3–4 people and take Uber/Lyft or local cabs to the farm. 🍎 Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard 📍 130 Hardscrabble Road North Salem, NY 10560 Croton Falls is one of the closest Metro-North stations to Harvest Moon, making the rideshare portion of the trip relatively short. Everyone will split the cost of their group’s Uber/Lyft or cab.

Harvest Moon’s Fall Festival is one of the most popular fall activities in the area. 🍏 Apple Picking

Apple-picking bags are purchased separately from festival admission. ⚠️ Important: The entrance to the apple orchard closes at approximately 4:15 PM, so we will make sure everyone who wants to pick apples has plenty of time before the orchard closes. Festival activities continue afterward.

🚨 October is peak season at Harvest Moon, and Saturdays can sell out. 🕓 Our Afternoon at the Farm

Our approximate schedule will be: 12:37 PM — Arrive at Croton Falls 🚉 12:40–1:00 PM — Uber/Lyft groups to Harvest Moon 🚕 Around 1:00 PM — Arrive at the farm 🍎 1:00–4:15 PM — Apple picking, hayrides, food, music & festival activities 🍂 4:15 PM — Apple orchard entrance closes Afterward — Continue enjoying the festival before preparing to return to NYC

Later in the afternoon, we’ll regroup and take Uber/Lyft or cabs back to Croton Falls Station. From there, we’ll take the Metro-North Harlem Line back to Grand Central Terminal. 🚉 Croton Falls → Grand Central The exact return train we take will depend on when the group is ready to leave, so we’ll coordinate that together during the event.
