Come steal these AI-ideas: live AI demos & Agents for People & Talent teams

Hey folks,
If you're like us & working in the talent/people space, you've probably sat through enough "AI is going to change everything" webinars, panels etc to last a lifetime.
So much fluff. And not nearly enough actual *"here's HOW"* - from people who've genuinely built cool sh\!t that works.
We've created this meetup to fix that.
Our meetup will showcase real builds & real workflows- from people sharing exactly how they pulled it off.
Here's who's showing their work 👇
🛠️ Joris Luijke - Founder/CPO at Pyn *(ex-Atlassian, ex-Squarespace)* Joris will demo various P&C builds he's done himself, AND finally settle the thing we're all quietly confused about: AI vs Automation vs AI Agents - exactly when to use which, and how to actually set it up correctly. You'll leave knowing the difference and he'll also share a tonne of useful resources!
🎨 Bec Jenkins - People Experience & Operations at Canva *(ex-Airtasker)* The real, unfiltered story of how Canva's People/Talent teams are actually using AI - the stuff that stuck, the stuff that flopped, and the gold that came out of their recent AI Hackathon.
🌏 Yenny Wong - Senior Director\, Talent at The Trade Desk *(ex-Google)* Yenny shares how she picks the Talent problems actually worth solving with AI, and shares her process of creating a global "innovation engine" where gets AI adopted across the whole team. Examples of impactful AI builds from the team will also be shared.
⚡ Andrew Suryanto - GTM Engineer & Community Lead at Build Club *(ex-Relevance AI)* The grand finale, and honestly the bit we're super nervous/excited about: YOU tell us what to build. We take the most-requested idea, put it in front of Andrew, start a timer and watch him build it with AI/agents LIVE. No net, no edits, no take-two. Absolute legend behaviour. Please join us in praying to the demo gods for this one!:D
The important bits: 📅 Thursday 27 August ⏰ 5:00 - 8:00pm 📍 The Trade Desk, Barangaroo
🎟️ Spots are limited - grab your ticket before we sell out!! 🎫 🔥 REGISTER here (not via meetup.com) - follow this link: https://luma.com/sw4rj3l5
Come for the builds, stay for the drinks, leave with a to-do list you're genuinely excited about.
Massive thanks to our partners making this happen: Rippling, Deel & Hola 🙌 See you there, Sydney! We cannot wait! 🙈

P.S. A little housekeeping...
No refunds, but easily transferable. We wish we could, but ticket numbers feed straight into our catering orders - so unfortunately we can't offer refunds. BUT if you can't make it, please feel free to pass your ticket on to a friend! Just drop us a note at [team@sydneytalentmeetup.com](mailto:team@sydneytalentmeetup.com) with the name change and we'll sort it out.
A welcome to our partners. While these meetups are mainly for our internal People & Talent community, we highly value and appreciate our consultants and recruitment partners also - so we've set aside a 5% ticket allocation for you. You're welcome to join and please grab a spot while you can!
