JASS Spotlight Series: Ann Gie Quintet

Event Synopsis Experience the future of jazz in Singapore with the JASS Spotlight Series, a monthly live showcase celebrating outstanding youth jazz talent at the iconic The Jazz Loft @ Blu Jaz. Each edition spotlights a rising star in an intimate setting, championing the next generation of jazz excellence. This August, catch the Ann Gie Quintet, led by Singaporean jazz pianist and composer Lee Ann Gie. Having discovered her love for jazz during her junior college years, she quickly became an active voice in the Singapore jazz community under the mentorship of Jeremy Monteiro, Chok Kerong and Tan Wei Xiang.Fresh off her graduation from the Master’s program at Queens College, City University of New York, Ann Gie leads a quintet featuring her arrangements and compositions.
