Hey guys,
this is a pretty casual gathering at Ocean Beach. I'm not a huge fan of Ocean Beach just given the lack of bathrooms and the craze that surrounds these bbq pits in the evenings. But with that said, I think it's about time we hosted an event on the beach. I'll bring a soccer ball and some basic games for people to participate in.
Clothing:
Bring layers! It may be warmer in the afternoon but don't let that fool you. It will be COLD in the evening. Bring winter clothing if you're planning on sticking around until the sun sets.
Games:
I'll bring some fun games, blanket, chairs, and firewood for the firepit. It will probably get pretty windy but should be a fun evening overall!
Food & Beverage:
I'll have a table so feel free to bring any food and "drinks" (alcohol is technically not permitted). Think of the food portion as a "potluck". In regards to drinks, the rangers are mostly chill as long as they don't see alcohol (i.e. red solo cups or such). They ARE strict about glass on the beach \~ so please no glass bottles.
Weather:
The weather at ocean beach is NOT unpredictable. You can expect it to be windy, cold, and foggy. On the RARE occasion we'll get a nice night with minimal fog and wind.
Parking:
There's a decent amount of parking in the main lot but if that fills up, you may need to park across by the park. There's also a few busses that can get you to the beach from inside SF.
