Melbourne Winter Masterpieces: CARTIER
About the event
NGV presents CARTIER, a landmark exhibition featuring nearly 400 extraordinary jewels, gems, timepieces and jewellery objects alongside rare archival materials including original design drawings, sketchbooks, photographs, historical references and more. Spanning the Maison's early years at the turn of the 20th century through to its most contemporary creations, the exhibition brings together some of Cartier's most iconic pieces, and design drawings from the Cartier archives. The exhibition has been created by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, in partnership with the National Gallery of Victoria and in collaboration with Cartier and will feature loans from private and institutional collections across Europe, the United States and Asia, alongside highlights from the Cartier Heritage Collection.
