Let's polish our English skills and global perspectives together, and aim for career advancement!
This event has three main goals:
・Deepen your understanding of Japan and the world through English
・Develop your own opinions and improve your ability to express them in English
・Stay motivated by connecting with others who are also learning English
Event Schedule
1. Introductions | 5–10 min
Let's get to know each other by sharing something good that happened recently, why you decided to join, and a little about yourself.
2. TED Talks Video Sharing | 10 min
We'll pick one interesting video from TED Talks.
We'll share content that's easy to understand and takes about 5–10 minutes to watch.
3. Discussion Time | 30 min
We'll discuss based on prepared questions aligned with the video's theme.
"I can handle everyday conversations, but I rarely get a chance to use English in a business or professional setting." "I want to improve my English and use it to advance my career." "I want to learn more about Japan and the world through English."
If any of these sound like you, this event is for you!
About the Organizer
I failed to get selected for a study-abroad program in my third year of university. I tried again in my fourth year and eventually decided to put job hunting aside and spend a year in the U.S. as an exchange student. Today, I have a TOEIC score of 885 and work in an international environment where I use English every day. But I still have a lot to learn myself. That's why I'd love to create a community where we can learn from one another, broaden our perspectives, and improve our English together.
