LA NIÑA headlines the annual showcase of fresh Italian music. LA NIÑA is the stage name of Carola Moccia, a Neapolitan singer-songwriter born in 1991. Rooted in Naples and shaped by its musical heritage, she writes and performs in Neapolitan dialect, weaving together canzone napoletana, alternative R&B, and electronic sounds into something entirely her own. Her 2023 debut album Vanitas was met with critical acclaim, followed by Furèsta (2025) – a Baroque- and tammurriata-inflected record exploring Neapolitan identity and organized crime, which earned her the prestigious Targa Tenco for best album in a regional language. Rolling Stone Italia called her “a hybrid between Teresa De Sio and Rosalía.” HIT Week is produced by Rhythm Foundation and Mela, with support from the Italian Trade Commission.
