Ukes4Peace Jam at Sports Basement Presidio!
About the event
Ukes4Peace is a group of Bay Area ukulele clubs (including San Francisco Ukulele Rebellion) committed to the idea that "through music, played together, we can promote peace, harmony, and love and make the world a better place." The idea is that member ukulele clubs will host one or more events in their own geographic area at which members from other affiliated ukulele clubs can join to play songs of protest, hope, peace, and encouragement. Each of the events held so far this year has been very well attended.
San Francisco Ukulele Rebellion is hosting a Ukes4Peace Jam on Saturday September 19 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Community Room at Sports Basement Presidio, 610 Old Mason Street, in San Francisco's beautiful Crissy Field.
PLEASE RSVP to me at sfukerebellion@yahoo.com so I can add you to the email distribution list for this event.
I'll be creating a songbook for this jam and I will post a dropbox link to it when the book has been created.
Ukes4Peace has created a master songbook for everyone in all the participating ukulele clubs to use at Ukes4Peace jams. That songbook is available here: https://bit.ly/46NaIlA And here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/naecvaq3b6qdrkiw3adbi/Ukes4PeaceFULL-REV7-final-compressed.pdf?rlkey=v1fy4sml7fhm1lwkf1m18cxlb&st=qkcdmrga&dl=0
Ukes4Peace is organizing primarily through Facebook as a public Facebook group. If you have a Facebook account and you would like to join the Facebook group, here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1799886787341053
