With Japan’s pickleball scene now beginning to gather momentum, there has never been a better time to pick up a paddle and discover why so many people have fallen in love with the sport
Whether you've played before or are trying pickleball for the very first time, you'll be able to jump right in. All games are played in doubles, with rotating partners and courts, giving you plenty of court time while meeting lots of different people throughout the evening
We'll have two groups on the night - one for beginners and first time players, and another for players with some previous experience who are looking to build confidence and improve their game
The format keeps things moving smoothly, so you'll spend more time
playing and less time waiting
New to pickleball?

It covers the basic rules, court positioning and scoring, so you'll arrive with a good understanding of the game and be ready to jump right in

Already played pickleball, but unfamiliar with the international official scoring system?
We recommend watching the scoring section of the video, starting at [5 min / 17 secs]. It only takes a few minutes and will help you get up to speed before you arrive.
Equipment Provided
No gear? No problem.
We provide balls and paddles (rackets) are available to rent
from Sansan for ¥1 000 (¥500 per hour) for the full 2 hour session
Only non marking sports shoes. Tennis, badminton, volleyball and other sports shoes are all fine, provided they have non marking soles
📍 Access
🚶 From Ikebukuro Station (JR, Tobu Tojo Line, Seibu Ikebukuro Line & Tokyo Metro): Approximately 10 minutes on foot via Exit 35 (Sunshine City) to the Sansogo Ikebukuro Building (4th floor).
🚶 From Higashi-Ikebukuro Station (Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line):
Approximately 3 minutes on foot via Exit 6 to the Sansogo Ikebukuro
