Guided kayaking through Biscayne Bay offers a closer look at the coastal habitats surrounding Deering Estate. Wildlife Kayak Adventure takes place on select Sundays through May 23, 2027, departing from the estate’s boat basin for a paddling tour across seagrass beds and into mangrove forest. Recommended for intermediate paddlers, the experience gives participants a quiet, up-close way to observe wildlife above and below the water.
A guide will help point out local wildlife as participants move through the bay’s shallow-water ecosystems. The tour uses kayaks designed for strong visibility, allowing paddlers to better see the surrounding water, vegetation and marine life.
Guests should wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing that can get wet, and bring snacks and water. Mosquitoes are common in the area, so attendees should prepare accordingly. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Tickets are $50 per person and include same-day general admission to Deering Estate during regular hours. Tickets are available via Miami-Dade County Park Link, with a discount available for Deering Estate Foundation members.
