For August, meeting by the Spirit Trail to walk along the waterfront and then back to the same park to draw outside in the sun and on the grass. Pack what you need for sun protection and chilling in the grass after, sometimes I bring a light blanket or towel to sit on in my bag. Lots of water and a hat. Summer has been busy and I want to get a couple more meet ups in while the weather is still nice.
EVENT DETAILS: It's simple: we meet for an easy-paced walk, about an hour long. Then we find a spot to sit and work on our own self-directed art projects, painting, drawing, colouring, knitting, whatever you're into. I love the idea of movement getting the creative juices flowing, and creating space for connection among creative minds. Stay for the full hour or as long as you like. Bring what you need: snacks, water, weather-appropriate gear (sun or rain), and your art supplies. No lessons, just a space to connect and create.
I am grateful to be an uninvited guest on the lands of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Musqueam Nations. This art community values being inclusive, respectful, and kind; and all interested artists are welcome. See you there!
