About the event
We’re excited to invite you and your family to our first IJburg Family Meetup!
📍 Location: De Basket, Ernst van Heerdenstraat 1, Amsterdam 📅 Date: Saturday, November 7 ⏰ Time: 14:00–18:00
We’re a family of three with an almost 9-year-old daughter, and we’re creating this group to connect with other families who are in a similar stage of life — especially families with one child.
This first gathering is all about getting to know each other, spending time together, and building a friendly community for our families.
Potluck Style We’ll be having a potluck-style gathering, so we invite each family to bring a snack, dish, dessert, or treat to share with everyone. There’s absolutely no need to make anything complicated — just bring something you and your family enjoy!
Sharing food is a lovely way to get to know each other, discover new favourites, and enjoy an afternoon together.
Let’s Build This Together This meetup belongs to all of us, and we’d love for everyone to help shape what comes next.
During the afternoon, we’ll also have a chance to share ideas for future family activities, outings, games, picnics, trips, and other gatherings that you’d like to see in our IJburg community.
Most importantly, this is a chance to meet new families, connect with neighbours, and hopefully start building some great friendships. We can’t wait to see you all and make our first IJburg Family Meetup a fun and memorable afternoon!
