π¦π¦β¨ ADHD Women Lisbon: The First Social! β‘π§
About the event
What happens when you put a bunch of oversharing, hyperfocusing, rabbit-hole researching, novelty-seeking ADHD women around a table together?
Weβre about to find out. ππ¦β‘
Welcome to the very first ADHD Women Lisbon social!
This is simply an opportunity to meet other women whose brains might run on a similar frequency β the passionate talkers, big thinkers, dreamers, serial hobby collectors, enthusiastic interrupters and women who somehow end up telling someone their entire life story 20 minutes after meeting them. π¦β¨
No workshop. No coaching. No networking. No sitting around discussing how to be more productive.
Just drinks, conversation, laughter, tangents and hopefully that lovely feeling of meeting someone and thinking:
βOH. You do that too?!β π
π THE VIBE Positive, playful and uplifting.
ADHD can absolutely have its challenges, but this group isn't intended as a support group. It's about friendship, connection, curiosity, trying new things and having somewhere we don't need to tone down the enthusiasm.
Verbal diarrhoea is welcome. Tangents are inevitable. Forgetting what your original point was halfway through the story is entirely understandable. π
We just ask everyone to practise the best listening our excitable brains can manage too β give other women space to speak and, if you interrupt because the thought simply HAD to come out, remember to hand the conversation back. β€οΈ
π§ WHO'S IT FOR? Women with ADHD at every stage of the journey.
Maybe you were diagnosed in your 20s. Maybe you discovered it much later. Maybe perimenopause made you wonder why the coping mechanisms you'd relied on for years suddenly stopped bloody working. Or perhaps you're still figuring out whether ADHD explains the way your brain has always worked.
You don't need to arrive knowing anyone. In fact, meeting your people is rather the point.
π¦ WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? This group is going to be collaborative, so future meetups won't just be organised by me.
Fast-ish walks and hikes? Bike rides? Creative workshops? Making things with our hands? Sound baths and sensory experiences? Immersive shows? Electronic music and a bit of bass therapy? Learning some completely random new skill because one of us became obsessed with it on Tuesday?
YES. π
Bring your ridiculous ideas.
For the first meetup, though, we're keeping things simple: a relaxed Sunday afternoon at the quiosque, getting to know one another and seeing what happens.
π Quiosque Avenida de Roma β Jardim Fernando Pessa π Sunday 18 October β° 15:00β18:00
Come for the whole thing or drop in for part of it.
And who knows what might happen when you put a bunch of passionate, creative, hyperfocused and slightly overambitious ADHD women together?
Letβs find out. π¦π¦β¨π§ β‘
