From Within

Five emerging artists reflect on memory, environment and identity in a group exhibition developed through the Oolite Arts Teen Residency in Miami Beach. From Within runs July 8 through October 4 in the Oolite Arts Vitrine, presenting work by Ana Blanco, Noa Garcia, Emely Yanji, Melina Walsh and TJ Wright. The exhibition traces how the residents’ initial experiments with origin and inspiration evolved into more personal explorations of artistic voice and intention.

Created over the course of the residency, the works reveal the individual concerns and influences shaping each artist’s developing practice. Together, they offer a view into the inner landscapes from which these young artists observe, question and create.
