Django Girls & Amsterdam — free one-day coding workshop for beginners
About the event
Curious about learning to code but not sure whether it's for you? If you identify as a woman and want to find out what it actually feels like to program, come and try it: on Saturday, October 10th we're having a free one-day workshop in Amsterdam for complete beginners. What the day looks like
Our coaches will support you in building your very first website using Python and Django. You'll work in a small group, with a coach beside you the whole day, so there's always someone to turn to the moment you get stuck.
Whether you're thinking about a career change, have an idea you want to build or you're just curious, you'll be in a room full of people who are starting exactly where you are, or once did, and are happy to share their experience. Our speakers will talk about how they got into their tech jobs and what the work is really like day to day.
Practical information
No experience needed, only a laptop (or tell us when you apply if you don't have one). The workshop is in English (some coaches now dutch of course), and runs 09:00–17:00. Lunch, coffee and snacks are included. You'll learn Python, the Django framework, HTML and CSS.
If you're motivated to learn and eager to pass your knowledge on later, this is your chance. Applications close two weeks before the event, so don't leave it too long.
