The Kita City Fireworks Festival is one of Tokyo's signature autumn fireworks events. This year's theme is "LOVE: Light of Emotion." Against the backdrop of the Akasuimon (Old Iwabuchi Sluice Gate), a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, around 10,000 fireworks by "MARUGO"—known as the magician of the fireworks world—will color the night sky. Kicking off the event is a drone show by "REDCLIFF." Spectators can enjoy a spectacular fireworks performance enhanced by dynamic lighting and sound. The festival sites are Akabane and Kawaguchi, situated across the Arakawa River from each other, and food trucks will also be available. On the Akabane side, paid seating for international tourists will be provided. After the festival, we also recommend enjoying local specialties in the restaurant district around Akabane Station.
