Ocean park meetup for bowling and German
About the event
Quick location update 🎳 I found out that the Handelskai location has loud Disco Bowling on Friday evenings, which isn’t ideal for the German & social part of our meetup. So I’m choosing a quieter bowling place instead. 😊 Friday at 7 PM stays the same. I’ll post the final location shortly!
Welcome to our first meetup! 😊
We’ll meet for about 2 hours of bowling, German conversation and getting to know each other a little.
There’s no need to be good at bowling, I’m a beginner myself, so beginners are especially welcome! If you’re already good at bowling, you’re welcome too… just try not to destroy us too badly. 😄
The same goes for German: you don’t need to speak perfect German. We’ll try to speak German as much as possible, but English is absolutely fine whenever you don’t know a word or want to ask how to say something.
I’m a native German speaker from Vienna, so I’ll happily help with words, expressions and a little Austrian German along the way. 🇦🇹 Update
This is not a German lesson and not a serious bowling competition. The idea is simply to have fun, meet new people and practice German naturally while doing something together.
What to bring: Just yourself and a good mood. 😄 Bowling shoes and everything else we need can be arranged at the bowling alley.
Don’t worry if you’re coming alone that’s exactly what meetups are for. We’ll meet there as a group and get to know each other.
