About the event
PhArt is a rotating group of artists that irregularly organizes an exhibition about thinkers and writers. This time, it was Franz Kafka’s turn. Why? ‘We are admirers of his work; we are curious and want to show what his work does to us.’ Art about thinkers and writers
Kafka's oeuvre is fascinating but difficult to fathom. His life and work are closely intertwined, which is clearly evident in this exhibition. The work on display is as diverse as the group of makers: assemblages, drawings, paintings, and spatial works.
I can swim like the others, only I have a better memory than the others; I have never forgotten my former inability to swim. But since I haven't forgotten it, being able to swim is of no use to me, and I still can't swim.
