About the event

Some doors are meant to stay closed. Others are simply waiting for the right people to discover them. There are stories hidden all around the V&A. Are you ready to discover them? Join us for an exciting family adventure where the museum becomes part of the story. Follow clues, solve puzzles and meet surprising characters as you explore parts of the V&A in a whole new way. Work together as a family to unlock mysteries, make unexpected discoveries and help shape an adventure full of imagination. Every step brings something new, and everyone has an important part to play. Celebrate the ways we can be creative using recycled and reused materials through this interactive show and uncover a side of the V&A that few visitors ever experience. Together, you'll journey through hidden corners of the museum that lead to magical discoveries. The Great Museum Adventure blends theatre, exploration and hands-on creativity into a unique experience where the museum becomes a stage. Inspired by the museum's amazing collections, this immersive experience celebrates curiosity, creativity and the joy of looking at ordinary things in extraordinary ways. The adventure begins the moment you arrive. Come ready to explore. You never know what you might discover. Suitable for Families with children aged 5+ (recommended) Performance times 11 am, 1pm and 3pm. Duration Approximately 45 minutes Additional information: This is an immersive experience that takes place in different parts of the museum. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes. To keep the adventure magical for everyone, we ask that you don't share the surprises after your visit. This event is free but capacity will be limited, booking tickets in advance is strongly recommended. There might be some extra spaces on the day, but this depends on capacity. This is a family event for adults to take part in with their children; no child can be left unattended.
