Attend a poetry workshop by Paula Breuning at cocktail, soul food & poetry bar Labyrinth. In the afternoon, you will learn how to write a poem. In the evening, you will share your work during the open mic and listen to other poets while enjoying mocktails/cocktails and African-Caribbean dishes.
African-Caribbean flavors
Located near Vondelpark, you'll find soul food & poetry bar Labyrinth. Samuel Kingue Ebelle and his team run the bar, and poet and teacher Paula Breuning regularly hosts the weekly #openmicmonday there. During 24 uur Zuid, she will be leading a writing workshop from 16:00 to 17:30. Grab your pen and learn to write your own poem. Satisfied with the result? In the evening, between 20:30 and 22:00, you can share your work during the open mic. But you're also welcome to simply listen to other poets and musicians. With a delicious cocktail/mocktail and food from the African-Caribbean cuisine, you will enjoy an evening full of music, poetry, and good times.
