Intriguing mix of Afghan romcom, political drama, war film and feminist statement. Shahrbanoo Sadat’s No Good Men mixes fiction and reality in a love story about a camerawoman in Kabul on the eve of the Taliban takeover. Afghanistan, 2021. Naru is working as a camerawoman for the biggest television station in Kabul, while trying to retain custody of her three-year-old son. Since leaving her unfaithful husband, she has become convinced that there are no good men left in her country.
