About the event

The first Book Club session will focus on Adichie's 2014 essay "We Should All Be Feminists" adapted from her 2012 TEDex talk of the same name. While it was published 12 years ago at this point, Adichie's thoughts on the intersectionality of gender, race and wealth remain as relevant as they ever were. We will discuss what these intersections affect 2026 feminism and how they weave into our lived experiences. The meeting will be held on September 20th, from 4pm at Jardim da Estrela. We will meet at Gengibre and find a spot to sit from there, so consider bringing a picnic blanket.
