Pet Poetry with the Evanston Animal Shelter
About the event
The Evanston Writers Workshop is collaborating with the Evanston Animal Shelter for a special pet poetry event! Join us at the Evanston Animal Shelter ([2310 Oakton St, Evanston, IL 60202](https://www.google.com/maps/search/2310+Oakton+St,+Evanston,+IL+60202?entry=gmail&source=g)) from 7-9pm as we write poems for the shelter's furry residents. These poems will be posted outside of each animal's room for potential adoptees to read and hopefully help them fall in love.
Participants will be able to see most resident cats in the public areas of the shelter but will not be able to visit the dogs, who are kept less public to preserve their peace and quiet. Pictures and general information of all animals will be provided to help you get poetic.
We will be sharing light snacks (feel free to bring your own to share if you're so inclined).
