First Nations Gathering

I am Yanomami, from my Amazonian tribe in Brazil. I speak Yanomam, a rich and ancient language that belongs to the Yanomaman language family. By speaking it, I carry on a vital linguistic tradition deeply tied to the culture, history, and rainforest home of my people in northern Brazil. (No one understands why I have curly hair. I am the only one)
