Is this your event?About the event
Join us for a relaxed social chess evening in Berlin at 100 Gramm Vino.
The venue has a lovely beer garden for warm evenings, as well as an indoor area if the weather is not suitable.
This event is for people who enjoy chess but do not want a stiff or intimidating club atmosphere. You are welcome whether you are a complete beginner, a casual online player, or someone who already plays regularly.
♟️What to expect
• Friendly and casual chess games • Beginner-friendly pairings • A host who helps you find opponents • No serious tournament pressure • English and German speakers welcome • You can come alone — many people do • Chess boards will be provided where possible • You are also welcome to bring your own board or chess clock
♟️Cooperation with another chess club
We share the venue and cooperate with another local chess club that sometimes organizes small tournaments during the evening.
You may therefore meet someone using an app or looking for specific players by name. Please do not be confused — this is part of the other club’s tournament format.
Our Social Chess Club games remain casual, relaxed, and just for fun. You do not need to register for a tournament or use an app to join us.
♟️Basic schedule
19:00 – Arrival and quick welcome 19:10 – First casual games 19:50 – Short break and opponent switch 20:00 – More games and rematches 20:45 – Free play and social time 21:30 – End of the official event
Please support 100 Gramm Vino by buying a drink or snack during the evening. This helps us keep the event free and easy to organize.
No rating, membership, tournament registration, or previous tournament experience is needed.
