Join pianist and composer, Karim Kamar, for a vibrant and imaginative exploration of the love song. Opening with a solo set, Karim will reinterpret well-loved popular songs through a classical, impressionistic lens, transforming familiar melodies into something newly expressive, reflective and atmospheric. In response to our current exhibition, Renoir and Love , Karim will also welcome young performers he has collaborated with to share their own musical responses to the theme of love and friendship. Through brief performances - ranging from pop arrangements to personal repertoire these emerging musicians offer fresh perspectives shaped by their own tastes and experiences. At once uplifting and reflective, Love Song Reimagined celebrates creativity, confidence and the universal language of emotion, inviting audiences to experience music and art through the eyes (and ears) of both an accomplished artist and the next generation.
