At a Christmas party hosted by wealthy, unconventional Victor Ziegler (Sydney Pollack), provocative advances and innocent flirtations arouse suspicion as high-society physician Dr. William Harford (Tom Cruise) and his sexy wife, Alice (Nicole Kidman) watch each other from a distance.
