Meet your new favourite book in a ‘speed dating’ event for books!
Has your reading life felt dull lately? It’s time to swipe right on your next favourite read! Join us for “Book Speed Dating”, explore different genres of books and meet like-minded book lovers in this event where we match people who want to talk about books instead of looking for relationships. After all, it is a truth universally acknowledged, that any person in possession of good taste, is in want of a good read (and people to share them with).
Here’s how it works:
• Participants will be randomly assigned to a table with books related to a certain topic/genre.
• Participants will read for 15mins, choosing from any book on the table. A short discussion with the other people at the table follows. Participants can then choose to stay or move to another table with an available space.
• After 3 rounds, participants may choose to borrow an unclaimed book or leave empty-handed (No judgement, this is a safe space).
This programme is recommended for adults, but all are welcome.
