Join the Fight Club crew this year for All Hallows' Eve! It all kicks of at dusk in a cemetery on Saturday October 31st!
Why do humans celebrate death? What’s behind our fascination with the grotesque, and the return of the dead? From Halloween trick-or-treating to Mexico’s Día de los Muertos, from medieval death rituals to modern horror films, cultures across the world transform fear of mortality into ritual, art, and even festivity.
In this discussion we’ll explore:
• The history & symbolic meanings of Halloween and All Hallows’ Eve. • How resurrection rituals and afterlife beliefs shape cultural identity. • How macabre festivals help societies confront fear, grief, and the unknown.
Bring your curiosity, questions, and ideas. Together we’ll look at how humanity dances with death, and why these rituals might reveal more about life than about dying.
After the session we will cross the road for social drinks at The Courthouse Hotel.
