From Beach Bum to the Borderlands: The Florida Noir Protagonist — Local Author Series| Miami Book Month
About the event
How did Florida’s tough, independent detectives become outsiders struggling to survive? Classic figures like Travis McGee and Hoke Moseley once controlled their worlds, while modern characters like Comanche face economic hardship and displacement. Celebrate Miami Book Month with Pedro Medina Leon and Abel M. Folgar as they discuss "Comanche, P.I." and explore how Florida crime stories evolved into reflections of a more complex reality.
