Ostende - Laura Citarella

Thanks to winning a radio contest, a young woman spends four days alone at a seaside hotel in Ostende, in the Buenos Aires province, while waiting for her boyfriend to arrive. With little to do beyond enjoying the windy beach and observing the sparse surroundings, she becomes fascinated by an elderly man and his two young companions. As she drifts away from her everyday world, curiosity draws her into a mysterious microcosm filled with untold stories. When her boyfriend finally arrives, he disrupts this fragile atmosphere. In her debut film, Laura Citarella blends Hitchcockian intrigue and Rohmer-like subtlety with a feminine, lighthearted touch.Laura Citarella (1981, La Plata) graduated as a film director from the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires.
