Crowd Kitchen....al Fresco!
About the event
Let's squeeze in another outdoor feast while we can, with [Crowded Kitchen](https://www.crowdedkitchen.com/)! I've been stalking their [website](https://www.crowdedkitchen.com/) and [FB page](https://www.facebook.com/crowdedkitchen1) for a while but haven't gotten around to making any of the dishes yet, so I thought I'd let the Cookbook Club do it for me.;0)
Mother-daughter duo, Beth and Lexi, launched their Crowded Kitchen [IG Page](https://www.instagram.com/crowded_kitchen/) in 2017 from their kitchen in Michigan. Their food porn is on point - their dishes are stunning and appear to be equally tasty! There's something for everyone from nutritious meals, to creative cocktails, to decadent desserts, to better-than-store-bought versions of dozens of your favorite mass-produced snacks like Pop Tarts, Goldfish Crackers, Twizzlers and more! They also focus on recipes that accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions, without sacrificing taste or nutrition.
We'll be feasting al Fresco for this event. Did you know that the Kraken Practice Center at Northgate has a fabulous public park? We’ll be meeting in the covered area on the second level. It has some chairs and tables but, sadly, on a recent visit I noticed that the bistro tables and chairs in the photo here are no longer there. Please bring an outdoor chair/s, so your're guaranteed a seat!
Newbies, pls know that this group and our events aren't like many other Meet Ups in which ppl sign up and may or may not show up. We have a very dedicated group of regulars and occasional members. We also love welcoming new folks to the group but ask that ppl only sign up if they truly plan to show up (and with a dish/es from the chosen recipe authors.)
If by chance, there's light rain, we can still eat under the covered area. If a hard rain is in the forecast, I'll secure a back-up, indoor location in Phinney. The first photo here is the area where we’ll be meeting. There’s lots of free parking parallel to the center’s main building and in parking lots just north and south of the park. The park is on the south side of the building. You’ll find us on the second tier of the park, in the northwest corner and at the top of the double staircase.
Be sure to bring your own plate, cup, napkin, and eating and serving utensils, as well as a chair, and don't forget to take them all home. Pls be sure to bring appropriate covering for your dish, as well, so we can keep flies off the dishes, once we load up our plates. Thanks!:0)
In order to confirm that you’re coming, please pick a dish from the Crowded Kitchen website or social media pages. Indicate what you’ll be bringing in the comments. One dish is required per person, so if you have a +1 please bring two dishes or double your recipe. Also, please be sure to update your RSVP if your plans change and you can no longer join us!
IMPORTANT Additional Reminders: • Make sure your Meetup settings allow event updates from organizers. * If you don't get the emails, check your spam, or social folders (for those on Gmail). • Bring eating AND serving utensils for your dish - and remember to take them home. Pls bring an appropriate lid/covering for your dish, as well, so we can keep flies off the food once we fill our plates. • Please bring a few dollars to help cover the Meetup fees that Katy graciously pays for hosting this group ($300+/year). Give your cash contribution to Katy or your host to pass along to Katy, if she’s not at the event or contact her about contributing via Venmo or PayPal. THX! • Feel free to bring a beverage to share, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, in addition to our potential cocktail. • If you're not feeling well, please update your RSVP to "not going" and we look forward to seeing you another time.
Looking forward to seeing you for yet another delicious, fun evening! Be there or be square!;0)
