La Santa Vacile: Debut at Niceto Bar

The myth says that La Santa Vacile appears to those who believe that rumba is sacred. Patroness of shared joys, of embraces that begin on the dance floor and of those who chase away sorrows with a merengue, she manifests every time someone finds a reason to celebrate. No one knows exactly when she appeared. Some claim she was always there, hidden among the güira, the tambora and a chorus that returns almost whispering, again and again. The orchestra, made up of 12 musicians from Argentina, Colombia, Panama and Venezuela, debuts at Niceto Bar with a repertoire that spans Juan Luis Guerra, Elvis Crespo, Las Chicas del Can and other artists who made the genre the soundtrack of many generations. With a formation inspired by the great tropical orchestras and crossed by the cultural variety of Buenos Aires, La Santa Vacile brings merengue back to the center of the party.
