Macunaíma é Duwid

Collective exhibition curated by indigenous artist and activist Gustavo Caboco. Developed through a network of researchers, the show positions the museum as a space for reframing indigenous perspectives in art history. Duwyd, ancestor of the original peoples of northern Brazil, is believed to have inspired the character Macunaíma, protagonist of Mário de Andrade's novel of the same name, which will soon reach its centennial.
