🌅Sunset Run | Mizumoto Park 10K Run

Run through the green side of Tokyo, catch the sunset, and slow down together afterwards. 🌿🌅

🌿 Event Description

Looking for a different kind of evening run? This time, we’re heading away from the busy city center and into Mizumoto Park, one of Tokyo’s largest and most peaceful waterfront parks. We’ll meet at Kanamachi Station and run approximately 10 km together, starting with an easy run from the station to Mizumoto Park and then exploring the park’s wide paths, trees, waterways and open green spaces. As we get closer to sunset, we’ll slow down and take a little time to enjoy the scenery, take some photos, and watch the evening light over the park. After the run, we’ll have a relaxed sunset picnic together. 🧺🌅 Bring a drink, grab some snacks, sit on the grass, and enjoy a slower end to the evening with the group. This is not a race or a training session. It’s about getting outside, moving together, enjoying nature, and discovering another side of Tokyo.

🏃 The Run

Distance: Approximately 10 km Start: Kanamachi Station Route: Kanamachi Station → Mizumoto Park → Scenic run through the park → Waterfront & greenery → Sunset section 🌅 → Return toward Kanamachi We’ll keep an easy to moderate social pace and stay together as much as possible. You don't need to be a fast runner. If you can comfortably run 10 km at a relaxed pace, you're very welcome to join. There will also be a short sunset/photo stop during the run.

🌅 Sunset Moment

We don't want to simply run past the sunset. During the final part of our park route, we'll take a short break to: 🌅 Enjoy the sunset 📸 Take some group photos 💧 Have some water 🌿 Take a moment to slow down Then we'll finish the final section of the run together.

🧺 Sunset Picnic

After finishing the run, we'll find a suitable spot to relax together and have a small picnic. Welcome to bring your own: • Drinks • Snacks • Something small you'd like to share The picnic is intentionally casual — no formal dinner, no schedule, just some time to sit down, talk, and enjoy the evening together.

🍜 After the Picnic

If people are still hungry after the picnic, we can head back toward Kanamachi Station and grab some casual food or drinks together. This part is completely optional. Feel free to leave after the picnic if you have other plans.

Meeting: 5:30 PM Run starts: Around 5:45 PM • Kanamachi → Mizumoto Park • 10K social run • Sunset/photo stop • Return toward Kanamachi • Sunset picnic Picnic: Around 7:15 PM – 8:15 PM Optional food/drinks: Afterwards *The exact timing may be adjusted slightly depending on the sunset time and weather.*

Kanamachi Station North Exit Please arrive on time so we can start the run together.

💴 Participation Fee

First-time participants: ¥1,000 per person Payment can be made by cash or PayPay at the meeting point. The fee supports event organization.

• Comfortable running shoes • Water • Comfortable running clothes • A light jacket if needed • Your own drink for the picnic • Snacks if you'd like to share • Picnic mat/sheet if you have one Please keep your belongings light and easy to carry during the run.

• This is a community social run, not a guided fitness session. • Participants join at their own responsibility. • Please stay together and respect traffic lights and other park visitors. • The route and schedule may be adjusted depending on weather and park conditions. • The sunset/photo stop is part of the experience, so this won't be a nonstop 10K.

🌧️ Weather Policy

Because this event includes an outdoor run and picnic, if the weather forecast shows significant rain or unsuitable conditions, the event may be postponed. Any decision to postpone will be announced to participants in advance.
