Build, Learn, Explore: Be an Engineer!
Hey community!
Some presenters do demos with slides. Darko Mesaroš has deployed AWS infrastructure from a Commodore 64. On the 19th, he's our guest for the 121st meetup: Distinguished Developer Advocate at AWS, in Brazil for Community Day keynote duties, speaking and taking questions here on Paulista.
We're gathering at FIAP Paulista, which opens its doors for us again. Thanks, FIAP, for always supporting our community. 💜

🎤 About the talk
🇧🇷
Yes, AI is changing jobs. But here's what it can't do: it can't be curious! And that, the thing that makes us human, is your advantage.
So how do you make the most of this world of accelerated innovation, where new models, practices, and tools emerge constantly? How do you take all that and become even better?
Simple: be an engineer!
Join me on this personal journey of identity crisis, procrastination, and the realization that, yes, I'm still an engineer!

So how do you make the most of this world of rapid innovation, where new models, practices, and tools keep popping out of nowhere? How do you take all that and become even better? 👤 About the speaker
[Darko Mesaroš](https://www.linkedin.com/in/darko-mesaros/) Distinguished Developer Advocate at Amazon Web Services
Darko is based in Seattle, writes Rust, builds command-line tools nobody asked for but everyone ends up using, and advocates that the terminal is the best interface ever created.
He also collects computers older than most of the audience. And puts them to work: he's deployed AWS infrastructure from a Commodore 64 and a teletype, and owns a 1974 minicomputer that once belonged to NOAA. When not running legacy machines doing things they shouldn't, he's live on Twitch coding, or exploring developer productivity, code assistants, and MCP.
