Join us on Thursday, September 18 at 17:45 for a special screening of The Watchmaker at Lucerna Kino (Small Hall). Entry is free for Meetup members—just RSVP to reserve your spot! The screening starts promptly at 18:00, but we recommend arriving a little earlier to make sure you have time to find your seat and get settled.
Before the feature, we’ll screen Liam Boland’s 11-minute short film *At What Cost?*, a powerful story of depression, financial insecurity, isolation, and resilience.
*The Watchmaker* is a Swedish thriller directed by Jonas Lawes, drawing inspiration from classic film noir. Set against the harsh winter of 1968, this suspenseful thriller begins with a desperate act that quickly pulls a group of very different people into an increasingly dangerous confrontation. As a valuable object, hidden motives, and fragile loyalties bring them together, the boundaries between right and wrong begin to disappear, leading to a tense struggle where morality, trust, and survival are all put to the test. The film stars Otto Fahlgren, Hanna Alström, Olle Sarri, and Casper Berglund. The film is in Swedish with English subtitles.
