Tuesday Twilights @ The LBJ Wildflower Center Feat Anna La Mare
About the event
We’re staying open late every Tuesday, September 22 – November 10, to make more hours for wildflowers! Make it a date night, a picnic with friends, or come for somLah MAH-rayce in nature. Each evening will feature live music from local musicians, a rolling lineup of Austin’s favorite food trucks, and take-and-walk adult beverages for purchase. Anna La Mare: EARNEST WAYFARING FOLK NOIR The "bittersweet songstress of Ausitn": singer-songwriter Anna La Mare has been described as "emotional honey," "folky Florence and the Machine," "gothic Joan Baez" and "a soul-driven embodiment of Joni Mitchell." Her "folk noir": haunting folk Americana, touched by Celtic, Appalachian, and jazz influences, is as vulnerable as it is brave, offering you a home within her stormy and poetic soundscape. With her ghostly, road-worn and soulful voice, La Mare (Lah MAH-ray) sings the stories she's picked up in her travels, enlivening the wanderer in every listener. www.AnnaLaMare.com
