Com Amor, Alcione

This exhibition celebrates more than five decades of Alcione's career, one of Brazil's most significant music artists, whose work spans generations and holds a distinctive place in national culture. Organized by Centro Cultural Vale Maranhão (CCVM), the show opens at Museu das Favelas as its first venue, presenting over 650 items from Alcione's personal collection: rare photographs, videos, awards, costumes and memorable objects. The exhibition traces Alcione's artistic and biographical journey through themes including family, faith, carnival, migration and Black and Northeast identities, revealing how her story connects to collective experiences and historical processes that shape Brazilian culture.
