About the event
We start in English for introductions and then switch to Latin. If you have a text you are interested in reading together, feel free to bring it. Beginners are very welcome and we do not consider slowing down for you an imposition in any way. We are in love with this language and want to share it. All walks of life and political persuasions are welcome, though we recommend not discussing divisive topics in Latin as you can be easily misunderstood. If something like that does come up, and you wish to discuss it, make sure everybody at the table is comfortable doing so and switch into English. Feel free to send us a message if you have questions or want to touch base with a group leader before coming for the first time (you can absolutely just show up too).
